Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a progressive, dynamic and growing consumer products company who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting or finance and be able to manage various financial tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Greater Chicago Area, IL (On-site 4 days a week)
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare royalty reporting and track inventory.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
