Private Family in McLean, VA Seeking a Weekend Nanny
Position: Part-Time Live-Out Weekend Nanny
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Salary: $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP or Flexible for the Right Fit
Relocation: No – local candidates only
A warm and welcoming private family located in McLean, VA is looking to hire a dedicated and professional Weekend Nanny to join their household. They value discretion, reliability, and someone who will be a long-term fit.
Children: 15 month old
Home Size: 8,000 sq ft residence
Pets: None
Household Staff: Housekeepers
Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for two children
Plan engaging indoor and outdoor activities, crafts, and games
Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the children
Maintain cleanliness and organization of children’s play areas and belongings
Support with daily routines including naps, hygiene, and transitions
Communicate with parents about the children’s needs, schedules, and milestones
The ideal candidate is proactive, nurturing, and confident in caring for multiple young children. They are dependable, energetic, and bring a calm, supportive presence to the home. The family is looking for someone who takes initiative, respects household routines, and is committed to a long-term weekend role. Strong communication and a team-player mentality are key, as this nanny will collaborate with the family’s weekday staff.
Prior experience in a similar role in a private household
Excellent references
Legal to work in the United States
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Driver’s license and reliable transportation to/from McLea
Comfortable working in a home with other staff
