Callouts:
- This role is on site 5 days a week from 7 am - 3:30 pm in Simpsonville, KY
- Need to have: Microsoft Suite experience and at least 2 years of experience in electrical, power systems or SCADA
JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for assisting in the administration, implementation, and direction of Gas Distribution Operations (GDO) and Electric Distribution Operations (EDO) IT systems. This position will support the maintenance, upgrades, research and evaluation of new computer software applications and information technology systems to support GDO and EDO goals.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Acts as Business Lead/Representative on all phases of capital project implementation. Project responsibilities may include developing business cases, documenting business requirements, authoring RFPs, evaluating vendors, testing, training, etc.
Acts as business support and assists in defining business requirements for computer software applications and information technology solutions to provide GDO and EDO system maintenance and support.
Completes and supports departmental projects designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of computerized functions and services within GDO and EDO.
Provides technical and business knowledge on projects to ensure implementation of technology solutions to support GDO and EDO.
Assists in activities associated with hardware/software evaluations, selections or system specifications ensuring functional requirements are met and business objectives are achieved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Develops and maintains relationships with clients, peers, vendors, and management.
Assists in training, organizing, planning, and facilitating user group meetings.
Assists in the maintenance, repair, upgrades, and enhancements of technology solutions used in GDO and EDO.
Assists IT with operational issues.
Provides backup support for Distribution Operations personnel as required.
Performs storm role as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned
