SENIOR PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST (LIMITED TERM – FULL TIME) / NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT / DISTRICT OFFICE / OROVILLE, CA
The reporting location for this position is the Northern Buttes District, Administrative Office located at 400 Glen Drive, Oroville CA. This position will work under general direction of the District Superintendent II.This position provides programmatic development and ongoing support for all essential District Facilities Development programs while providing project management, agency coordination and sector support services for the Lake Oroville Sector. This position is the district’s liaison for overall coordination with Department of Water Resources and other agencies for management and operations of Lake Oroville Sector, while also providing District Services support for planning, real property management, public relations and partnerships within the Sector. The incumbent will work in close negotiation and cooperation with private, local, State and Federal stakeholders, agencies relevant to Lake Oroville, to identify and make recommendations to resolve outdoor recreation challenges and priorities for action on a continual basis. In addition to the Lake Oroville Sector, this position will also be responsible for overseeing Facilities Development for Cascade, Clear Lake and Valley Sector. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation of a variety of written plans and reports based on collection, evaluation, summarization and analysis of outdoor recreation data from a variety of sources, in order to identify and appropriately respond to recreational trends, existing outdoor recreational facilities, and needs / deficiencies at Lake Oroville and throughout the sector as needed. This position routinely travels throughout the District in order to accomplish assigned duties.
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
This position is designated as NOT Telework Eligible.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
