Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and the first point of contact for patients. You must be comfortable managing a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Fluency in both English and a second language is essential for this role to communicate effectively with our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check-in patients with a warm and professional demeanor.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel dental appointments according to patient needs.
• Enter and maintain accurate patient records in the office’s computer system.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and verify insurance coverage.
• Answer phone calls and patient inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists or other dental professionals as needed.
• Process billing, collect payments, and manage daily financial reports.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting areas.
• Provide translation and communication support for non-English-speaking patients to ensure their needs are understood and met.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Must be comfortable being cross-trained and assisting in the back office as needed.

Requirements:

• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required - 1 year experience minimum.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and a 2nd language (verbal and written).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience in a dental office is required.
• Strong computer and data entry skills (experience with Open Dental software is a plus).
