From enabling new payment capabilities to optimize transaction success and unlocking new financial offerings, our team ensures Chewy is at the forefront of customer-first commerce.


We are seeking an Associate Director Product Manager - Payment Innovation to join our team in Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, or Plantation, FL offices and play a pivotal role in the customer payments space. This role will own strategy, development, and execution of a new client facing financial experience that expands how Chewy shows up in moments that matter to pet parents. Your effort from early definition through go-to-market, while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, external suppliers, and Chewy leadership are vital to forward thinking approach moving forward. You will report into the Director of Payments, Fraud, and Gift Cards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and implement a product roadmap for a new customer-facing financial offering, passionate about driving dedication, trust, and long-term engagement.
  • Deliver end-to-end product lifecycle from early concept development to partner selection, systems integration, servicing design, and launch.
  • Translate customer needs and business strategy into clear product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, marketing, analytics, and external partners to bring the product to life.
  • Develop and implement key performance metrics to monitor product health, customer adoption, and engagement outcomes.
  • Serve as the connective tissue across internal and external Team Members, ensuring alignment and accountability at every stage.
  • Deliver product documentation, insights, and updates to senior leadership on roadmap, resourcing, risks, and achievements.

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with 4+ years in payments, FinTech, Loyalty, or other experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on or with credit card programs is a plus - especially roles involving partners, card networks, or servicing design.
  • Ability to lead product development involving systems and integrations.
  • Strong and thinking skills with the ability to develop cases, evaluate tradeoffs, and ambiguity into action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience making pitches to Team Members.
  • Tight-knit collaboration and team member management abilities.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments with a sense of ownership.
  • A passion for building products that build both and value.

Work Arrangement :

  • Hybrid Model: 3 days in hub location per week
  • Remote: This role is NOT a remote role.
